Homemade Bug Spray
Summertime means summer sun and summer bugs. Its never fun to feel like you’re being eaten alive while you’re trying to enjoy the great outdoors, so here’s a fantastic recipe for some mosquito-repelling bug spray that is all natural and smells amazing! The spray can also be used to treat insect bites.
Ingredients
- Essential oils - choose from citronella, clove, lemongrass, rosemary, tea tree, eucalyptus, cedar, catnip, lavender, and mint.
- Witch hazel extract
- Filtered water
- Spray bottle
Preparation
- Fill spray bottle half-full with filtered water
- Add witch hazel, fill almost to the top
- Add 30-50 drops of essential oils (the more you use, the stronger the spray will be). I like using lemongrass, lavender, and peppermint. It smells fresh and nice, and mosquitos hate it!
Apply liberally and often. Stay bite-free! Thanks to wellnessmama.com for the inspiration for this bug spray. Happy summer adventures!
