After reading that sex ed article Aimee reblogged earlier, I was inspired to make this! I know I know that someone will call me on my terminology here, but if you can forgive the use of ‘lady,’ instead of ‘vulva,’ maybe you will enjoy it?
DON’T HATE YER PARTS! SEX EDUCATION IS POWER! LOVE YOUR SWEET, SWEET BODY! etc.

This comic is cute. I feel bad for the artist cause she seems legit sweet but loads of people are attacking her for the use of the term ‘lady parts’. Is it problematic? Yeah. Trans folk experience a lot of erasure and discrimination, and using gendered terms reinforces that.
But come on, interweb folk. Its hard to always be 100% inclusive, all day every day. People make mistakes and fuck up all the time, because we’re people. I try so hard to make sure my language is carefully chosen, but I fuck up frequently. Its what humans do, even ones with good intentions. I understand that when its an issue close to your heart it is easy to get up in arms (especially since there are so many assholes in the world who don’t give a flying fuck about yer feelings/identity) but sometimes we all just need to take a chill pill and try to engage someone in kind (but directional) dialogue.
At least, be kind if the person seems like they deserve the benefit of the doubt and otherwise try to be awesome. If its an asshole, let your rage fly like the wind on fire.
